Kal-Wind Farm was established in 1999 in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains between Bristol and Abingdon, Virginia. We are the proud owners and breeders of Champion Morgan and Arabian Horses.
Our breeding program began in 2000 with two Arabians Kaleigh and Winchester Colt. This is the origin of the farm name, Kal-Wind. The first foal of these two horses, Winds Black Crystal, has already been an award winner at show.
The breeding program then was expanded to include Morgan horses with Noah’s Intimidator. Around this same time we added our second Arabian mare, Halika Yazat. One of their foals, KW Black Diamond, has won awards as well.
Showing horses quickly became a family affair with us as it does most farms. The closeness of family sets the stage for the teamwork needed to compete successfully. We would like to thank our family for the hard work and understanding they give us at each and every show. We would especially like to thank Hubert (Pops) and Rose Hall. They have become an indispensable resource on the show grounds.
